My first poem with some fundae

On March the 29th, 2013 I decided to walk up to the terrace and get some fresh air. It was cloudy with a pleasant wind blowing . I remember going through a lot of thoughts about many things during that particular time. It started raining and I decided to stay instead of running off downstairs.

As I was getting wet in the rain, a certain thought caught my imagination. My motley train of thoughts ceased giving birth to an intense curiosity about the wonderful nature that surrounded me at that time. I looked around at the green trees, the wind blowing and playing around with droplets of water, birds flying off to find shelter and  the multifaceted palette  of colors spread in the sky. The experience was pretty soothing, to say the least.

There suddenly struck upon me a set of words which strung with each other in a harmonious form. I remember that I felt as if it was an extrasensory experience since I was not at all thinking about them, yet they arrived with equal gusto and an inherent peace and harmony. It culminated into my first poem which I have written down below.

I choose to call the poem incomplete since there was no finality of emotion at the end. And it shall always remain so since any extra effort to complete it will only entail corruption of its purity. It might sound extremely unpoetic or rudimentary to people, but I can recognize the worth of its music in my consciousness. Its piousness shall always accompany me till the end of days. However hard an author tries, he does know the fact that no one except of himself will be truly able to understand the emotions which he harbored while he penned his composition. A composition should be treated as a journey, a personal and different one by every individual, which shall allow him to sail in the sea of words and emotions according to their personal choice.

Pour unto me thy Lord
Wash away my earthly sins
Give me a new color, your color
For I need a fresh lease of life

Let my tears merge into yours
Let my self dissolve in you
As I walk the path of life uneven
Let me climb the stairway to heaven

Leaves glisten with thy Providence
Let thy music soothe my ears…..

Nature can fill your empty lives with boundless joys. Just give it a chance. Just give it a chance.
